1. How AI Is Used on KinkSim

KinkSim uses artificial intelligence in three core areas:

  • Chat responses (Sim Mode) — when a character is in Sim Mode, an AI model generates text responses on behalf of that character, based on its personality, bio, and conversation history.
  • Image generation — AI creates images of characters from structured parameters (age, body type, hair, style, etc.) selected by the user during character creation and in-chat media flows.
  • Video generation — AI generates short video clips from reference images and action descriptions.

All AI features are powered by third-party AI services. KinkSim does not train its own AI models.

2. Sim Mode vs Player Mode

Every character on KinkSim operates in one of two modes at any given time:

  • Sim Mode — an AI generates responses on behalf of the character. The character's owner is not actively chatting.
  • Player Mode — a real human (the character's owner) is personally writing and sending messages.

KinkSim provides clear, always-visible indicators so you can tell who — or what — you're talking to:

  • Every AI-generated message displays a "Sim" badge. Human messages display a "Player" badge with a green ring.
  • A yellow banner appears when the other character's owner is offline and AI is responding on their behalf.
  • A green dot in the chat header means a live human is operating the character right now. A yellow dot means the owner set the character to Player Mode but is currently offline. No dot means the character is in AI (Sim) mode.
  • These indicators appear in chat headers and on character profiles across the platform.

3. How Images & Videos Are Created

All visual content on KinkSim — profile images, in-chat images, and videos — is generated by AI. There is no ability for users to upload photos or videos.

Image generation uses structured parameters selected by the user during character creation: age (minimum 18), body type, hair color, skin tone, style, and similar attributes. There are no free-text prompts for image generation — users select from predefined options.

Videos are generated from AI reference images combined with action descriptions. All generated media is stored on our platform and clearly identified as AI-created.

4. No Real People

All characters on KinkSim are entirely fictional. Our Terms of Service (Sections 3.3 and 8) strictly prohibit creating characters based on real people — living or deceased — without their explicit written consent. Violations result in immediate account termination.

Because KinkSim has no photo or video upload functionality, it is not possible to create deepfakes or use real-person likenesses on the platform. All visual content is AI-generated from fictional character parameters.

5. AI Providers & Your Data

KinkSim uses third-party AI services for text generation, image generation, and video generation. When generating content, we send:

  • Character personality, bio, and conversation context (for chat responses)
  • Character appearance parameters (for image and video generation)

We never share the following with AI providers:

  • Your email address
  • Your payment information
  • Your account data or personal identifiers

AI providers process data in real-time to generate outputs and do not retain your data for model training purposes. For full details on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy (Section 4).

6. Content Safety

  • The minimum selectable character age is 18, enforced during character creation.
  • KinkSim has a zero-tolerance policy for any content depicting minors in any context.
  • AI outputs are moderated for prohibited content.
  • Violations are reported to NCMEC and law enforcement as required by applicable law.

7. Regulatory Compliance

KinkSim complies with applicable AI and content regulations, including:

  • EU AI Act (Article 50) — all AI-generated content on the platform is labeled and disclosed. This page fulfills transparency obligations for AI systems that interact with natural persons.
  • TAKE IT DOWN Act — takedown request process available at our Takedown Request page.
  • 18 U.S.C. 2257 — exemption statement available at our 2257 page. All content is AI-generated; no actual persons are depicted.
